We had a very productive weekend! Love those weekends! It started out with bagels at Brooklyn Bagel where almost the entire family gathered. (Becky + 5, as always, you guys were missed)
Here is Mak and her Mimi.
Let me just take a minute to say how fabulous our mother is. She works full time but is still a full time mom to me and my 2 sisters........oh...........and the 8 grand kids we gave her in 6 years. She's always there for a shopping trip, babysitting detail, or a shoulder to cry on. She lost her mom (whom we also called Mimi) when she was my age. I CANNOT IMAGINE NOT HAVING MY MOTHER. Mom, Mimi would be sooo proud of the amazing woman, wife, mom and Mimi you are today. You are a blessing in our lives and we're so lucky to have you!!
Ok, enough mushy =)
After bagels we headed to the mall for some haircuts and fierce shopping. Then back to Mimi and Baba's house. My dad (Baba) took the two girls for a special ice cream trip, just the 3 of them and they loved it!!
We also celebrated my sister's birthday and mother's day. Lots of celebrating.
Around 3 p.m. David and I packed up our little family and headed home to get down and dirty with the garage and Mak's room. Can I just tell you that this really was one of the best Mother's Day weekends!! We got so much done and it was just nice to know that Mak's room is reorganized with all the clothes that fit her, winter clothes are in their own tub, toys in a bag to give away, old clothes in a bag to give away and baby stuff too. We have accumulated so much over the years and I thought we were doing pretty good keeping up with it but I guess every once in a while you just have to have a weekend where you get rid of stuff, a lot of stuff. lol
So with all that "stuff" I woke up Sunday morning feeling horrible. We went to church then CHUY'S yummmm where Colton visited the potty no less than 6 times in the hour we were there. And NO, he didn't go once then fell asleep in the car. I got a really good nap too!! =)
We wrapped up the night with a trip to Mimi's to get things we forgot, a trip to Sam's Club then back home and David go busy in the garage again. It looks awesome babe!!
While putting my little ones to bed last night, Colton and I were praying, he interjected as we were thanking Jesus for things and he said "thank you Jesus for Sam's.......................for potty...................in Jesus name AMEN!" he's so precious when he prays.
Thank you to our precious Lord for allowing me to be a mommy!!!
